Philippine Travel Tip: A Sample Itinerary

Question: On Travel to the Philippines- I've got a month in the Philippines, where should I go?

Answer : With the Philippines being spread out as it is over thousands of islands travel-time can really eat into your holiday so I'd recommend concentrating on just one area. How about the area around the town of Dumaguete in the Visayas region? You could use Dumaguete as your base and from there you can visit Siquijor and Apo island, go trekking on Mt. Talinis, and whale-watching of Bais. I thought Siquijor was An absolutely beautiful island, and the spooky folklore gives it added interest. Try and visit during a full moon...if you dare! And the snorkeling in Apo's Marine Reserve is absolutely the business. Dumaguetes not to far from Cebu so if you have time you could also visit Bohol with it's famous chocolate hills as well as Malapascua and Bantayan, two more idyllic islands. If its one thing the Philippines does well its pretty islands and beaches! Its certainly not food…..
